Observation about “Glory” in the book of John
This word ‘glory’ (doxa) appeared in the book of John total of 25 times. It appears
- as noun for 15 times,
- as verb 10 times.
These occurrence are summarized as follow:
- Can be seen by eyes.
- There is a time to be glorified.
- Given by another person.
- Could be asked to be given.
- Can also be rejected.
- Could be manifested when some things are done.
- Given to the disciples so that they are made one.
- Two sources mentioned: from men/from God.
- Can be unto God through the way a person dies.
- Shall not seek own’s glory è unrighteous.
- A person who seeks the glory of the Sender is righteous.

A day not to be forgotten..
oh no!
In another 2 hours, my flight to Indonesia is boarding. I was still mingling with with friends. My friend offered to let me take his Rupiah which he still keep with him after his last trip to Indonesia. When I saw the Rupiah note, only I was reminded I haven’t prepare any Rupiah note to Indonesia! Oops!
I rushed out to look for money changer, and realized my mum who was supposed to send me to Airport still bargaining at the street. I started to get so nervous and rushing here and there. My heartbeat was accelerating.
In the midst of rushing and worrying, I opened my eyes and realized I was only dreaming.
